Vocabulary - Basic
Designed for clients who need to quickly obtain basic English vocabulary. Participants will be exposed to a variety of common vocabulary words and phrases. Using various activities, participants will actively practice using the new words, receive feedback on proper usage, and be tested on their ability to accurately use and remember the vocabulary.
Vocabulary - Advanced
Designed for clients who need to quickly obtain advanced business vocabulary. Participants will be exposed to a variety of advanced business vocabulary words and phrases. Using various activities, participants will actively practice using the new words, receive feedback on proper usage, and be tested on their ability to accurately use and remember the vocabulary.
Vocabulary - Industry Specific
Designed for clients who need to quickly obtain industry specific vocabulary. Participants will be exposed to a variety of industry specific vocabulary words and phrases. Using various activities, participants will actively practice using the new words, receive feedback on proper usage, and be tested on their ability to accurately use and remember the vocabulary.
Grammar - Basic
Designed for clients with intermediate English skills who want to quickly improve their basic grammar. Through a variety of activities, participants will locate their grammar weaknesses, receive feedback on proper usage and basic grammar rules, learn how to self-correct errors, and be tested on their ability to utilize grammar correctly.
Grammar - Advanced
Designed for English-proficient clients who want to quickly improve specific areas of their grammar. Through a variety of activities, participants will locate their grammatical weaknesses, receive feedback on proper usage and basic grammar rules, learn how to self-correct errors, and be tested on their ability to utilize advanced grammar correctly.
Fluency
Designed for clients who need to quickly improve confidence in their fluency skills. Using audio recorded analysis, participants’ areas of fluency, such as pauses, use of non-words, and flexibility of speech are carefully analyzed. Numerous activities, including rapid-fire drills and role plays, are utilized to help the participant eliminate their areas of weakness in fluency.
Listening for Mood
Designed for clients who want to improve their ability to recognize the emotional state of a native English speaker. Participants will be exposed to a variety of listening activities focused on identifying a speaker's mood. Speech components such as intonation, pauses, and stress patterns will be analyzed. Participants will receive detailed feedback on the improvement of their ability to identify a speaker’s mood.
Listening for Gist
Designed for clients who need to understand the essential parts of a speaker’s dialogue, without necessarily comprehending all the details. Participants will be exposed to a variety of listening activities focused on obtaining the gist of the speaker’s meaning. Speech components include recognizing key words, theme patterns, and pronoun repetition. Participants will receive detailed feedback on the improvement of their ability to identify a speaker’s gist.
Listening for Specifics
Designed for clients who need to distinguish specific information within a speech. Participants will be exposed to a variety of listening activities focused on identifying specific information. Speech components include identifying foreshadowing, recognizing key words, and synonyms. Participants will receive detailed feedback on the improvement of their ability to identify specific information.
Pronunciation - Basic sounds
Designed for clients who want to quickly improve specific areas of pronunciation. Through a variety of activities, students will locate their pronunciation errors, identify how to correctly articulate basic sounds, practice pronunciation, and receive detailed feedback on their progress.
Intonation and Stress
Designed for clients who want to be able to effectively identify and use stress and intonation patterns in English. Participants will learn to analyze and identify various stress and intonation patterns though listening exercises. Participants will then actively practice using the new pattern, receive feedback, and be tested on their ability to correctly use intonation and stress.
Vocal Training - Advanced
Designed for clients who need to be able to project their voice and capture an audience’s attention. Using audio recorded analysis, participants' specific vocal strengths and weaknesses are located. Areas such as vocal projection and diaphragm breathing are carefully analyzed. Numerous speaking and breathing activities are used to eliminate the participants' areas of weakness.
Writing - E-mails
Designed for clients who need to quickly improve their English e-mail writing skills. Participants will receive helpful tips and hints while engaging in writing e-mails for various circumstances. Participants will receive feedback on their e-mail formats, vocabulary choice, grammar, and punctuation.
Writing - Reports
Designed for clients who need to quickly improve their English report writing skills. Participants will receive numerous tips and suggestions while engaging in writing reports and documents for various circumstances. Participants will receive feedback on their report formats, vocabulary choice, grammar, and punctuation.
Writing - Proofreading
Designed for clients who need to quickly improve their English proofreading skills. Participants will engage in various proofreading activities for numerous types of documents. Proofreading will cover areas such as grammar, punctuation, vocabulary choice, and format. Participants will be tested and evaluated on their proofreading abilities at the end of the program.
